THIS MONTH'S FEATURE:
As wars in Ukraine & Russia, Israel & Gaza rage on, public opinion is beginning to splinter as to who people should support:

THIS MONTH's GOOD READ(S): I’ve included the link to this month's best reads on amazon.com, because it’s easy to find the books; but if possible, see about buying your books from a local bookseller… they may be a little more expensive, but you’ll be benefiting the local community…
THIS MONTH'S ENTERTAINMENT: If you're a football fan, and by that I mean soccer, then you'll probably enjoy Beckham: A Limited Series, on Netflix! With never-before-seen footage, this docuseries follows David Beckham's meteoric rise from humble beginnings to global football stardom. I know very little about "soccer," but I really enjoyed it! I hope you'll take a look!

PEACE COMMUNITY CHAPEL'S 5TH ANNUAL SPRING 'SOCK HOP' SOCK DRIVE FOR THE AREA HOMELESS
Peace Community Chapel's 5th Annual Spring "Sock Hop" Sock Drive for the Area Homeless is in the history books for another year! Socks are the #1 most requested item at homeless shelters, and PeaceCC, along with our supporters, are doing our best to help solve this problem, to support the homeless community, and to bring awareness to an under-publicized problem in our area, as well as in the United States.
This Spring, we raised enough money to be able to donate 120 pr of new socks to the Beth-el Shelter in Milford, and a whopping 2200 pr of new socks to the New Covenant Center in Stamford. THANK YOU all for your love and support!!
With gratitude, from
All of us at PeaceCC
PEACE CC SUPPORTS UKRAINE RELIEF
As the war in Ukraine wages on, Peace CC is continuing its support of the Ukraine Relief Effort by donating to World Central Kitchen, founded and run by Chef José Andrés. We also managed to donate 1000 pair of socks (men & women) to front line soldiers last year, as well.
If you'd like to help the Ukrainian Relief Effort, please consider supporting WCK.org or any number of other Relief agencies!

LOVE LAUNDRY
We are asking people to collect spare change (especially quarters!) and either donate them to PCC or to donate them directly to a local laundromat, so that customers can use them to help do their laundry. In these trying times, any little bit helps - plus, #kindness is always a good thing!

DONATING TO FOOD BANKS & FOOD PANTRIES
A lot of people live with food insecurity, and, with rising inflation, food banks and pantries are even more depleted! If you are fortunate enough to have extra resources, I hope you'll consider donating either money or dry goods to a food bank or your local food pantry. What a blessing you'll be to those in need! Also, if you've been following the crisis in Ukraine/Russia, you know how much the Ukrainian people need help. Please consider making a donation to Ukrainian relief organizations, like UkraineRelief or World Central Kitchen. Peace.

NEW COVENANT CENTER
Our friends at New Covenant Center in Stamford, are looking for dry goods for their food pantry. I spoke to Rafael and he sent me their donation list (click here to see what foods are needed). He also sent me a list of supplies needed, as well (you can get that here).
If you'd like to help them out, you can take your donations directly to their facility, 174 Richmond Hill Avenue in Stamford. Thanks for your help!
