WELCOME TO PEACE COMMUNITY CHAPEL
This is the website for PEACE COMMUNITY CHAPEL. We engage in various ministries throughout southern Fairfield County - kind of a church with “traveling walls.”
We are a growing faith community, the size of an extended-family, who actively and joyfully accept all, without judgment, as we grow spiritually, together. We are working to be a community that puts faith into action, as we serve our community and the world-at-large; and we think that “BEing the church” is more important than just “GOing to church.”
We are inclusive of age, race, sexuality and socio-economic class, and reach people who may not be reached by traditional churches, for whatever reason. Our gatherings are lightweight and low-tech.
Our intention is to do our best to meet the needs of real people in the real world, by fostering community outreach to meet those needs. We also work together with other non-profit agencies to serve those in need. Jesus’ teachings form our foundations of mission and community, and our gatherings will determine how we go about implementing those foundations.
