2026 Peace CC's SockDrive
for the Area Unhoused
Dear Friends of PeaceCC,
Our 3rd ANNUAL SOCK DRIVE FOR THE AREA UNHOUSED is underway, starting 9/30! Socks are the MOST requested item at shelters for people experiencing homelessness. Constant walking wears them out fast, and clean, dry socks are essential to prevent blisters, infections, and even frostbite in harsh weather. Yet, socks are also one of the least donated items. That’s why your gifts were so important. A simple pair of socks can bring comfort, protection, and dignity.
Because of your generous donations, Peace CC was able to purchase & donate nearly 34,000 pr of new socks for the clientele of Bridgeport Rescue Mission in Bridgeport, CT; The New Covenant Center in Stamford; and The Ukrainian Center in Stamford!
Thank you so much for helping to make the winter season a little warmer and for helping to make some dreams come true for people who need the help! Thanks once again for your generosity!
You'll be able to donate to this current drive until Monday, NOVEMBER 30, which you can do in a couple ways:
- click on the "Donate" link to securely donate on our PayPal page; or
- go to paypal.me/peaceccog; or
- send a check, made payable to “Peace Community Chapel,” to 36 Arcadia Rd, P O Box 506; Old Greenwich, CT 06870 (please write "Socks" in the Memo section of your check)
Please note: we are only taking monetary donations.
Remember, our SOCK Drive runs from Wednesday, 9/30 til Monday, 11/30!
Best wishes,
Rev. Don Adams, Pastor
