Peace CC's SockDrive
for the Area Unhoused
Friends of PeaceCC,
Starting today, Tuesday, October 21, we’re launching our 2025 Sock Drive for the Lower Fairfield County, CT Area Unhoused. Socks are the MOST requested item at shelters for people experiencing homelessness. Constant walking wears them out fast, and clean, dry socks are essential to prevent blisters, infections, and even frostbite in harsh weather. Yet, socks are also one of the least donated items. That’s why your donation matters. A simple pair of socks can bring comfort, protection, and dignity. So if you’d like to donate to PCC this fall, please do... you'll be helping a lot of people this season! Your gift will make a bigger difference than you might think.
Last year, we were able to donate over 12,000 pairs of socks to area shelters in Fairfield County, because of generous donations like yours. This year, we hope you'll continue the trend of generosity, by helping us, once again, to donate socks to area shelters. You'll be able to donate to this current drive until Sunday, NOVEMBER 23, which you can do in a couple ways:
- go to paypal.me/peaceccog to securely donate on our PayPal page;
OR
- send a check, made payable to “Peace Community Chapel,” to 36 Arcadia Rd, P O Box 506; Old Greenwich, CT 06870 (please write "Socks" in the Memo section of your check).
If you know someone you think might like to help out with our efforts, please forward this email to them! Remember, our SOCK Drive runs from today, 10/21, to Sunday, 11/23.
Thank you so much for helping to make this season a little warmer and for helping to make some very important dreams come true for people who now know that they matter.
Wishing you a wonderful autumn and holiday season!
Peace,
Don Adams, Pastor
