for the Area Unhoused
Dear Friends of PeaceCC,
Our 2nd ANNUAL SOCK DRIVE FOR THE AREA UNHOUSED is in the books & was a rousing success! Socks are the MOST requested item at shelters for people experiencing homelessness. Constant walking wears them out fast, and clean, dry socks are essential to prevent blisters, infections, and even frostbite in harsh weather. Yet, socks are also one of the least donated items. That’s why your gifts were so important. A simple pair of socks can bring comfort, protection, and dignity.
Because of your generous donations, Peace CC was able to purchase & donate nearly 18,000 pr of new socks for the clientele of Bridgeport Rescue Mission in Bridgeport, CT! (... and, in the past two years, we’ve donated nearly 30,000 pr of new socks!)
Thank you so much for helping to make the winter season a little warmer and for helping to make some dreams come true for people who need the help!
